The Assistant Commissioner, Chief of Operations role within the Office of Deputy Commissioner, Management and Budget (DCMB) is critical to the operations of the bureau. The areas of responsibility include developing the financial strategy for the department and coordinating and overseeing: Financial planning and all financial aspects of the Department's more than $6 billion operating and $1.5 billion capital budgets; procurement of all goods and services; capital construction; payment of expenditures; audits and accounts; the processing of contracts; the acquisition and distribution of department equipment; the planning, management, and operations of the Department's real estate portfolio, and maintenance of department facilities.
The selected candidate will perform the duties of an Administrative Staff Analyst, M-V, which include, but are not limited to:

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
