Early Intervention (EI) is a comprehensive interagency program that supports infants and children with developmental delays in their efforts to realize their full potential. It reduces the likelihood of delays among at-risk children, assists and empowers families to meet their child's and their own needs, and entitles children, regardless of race, ethnicity or income, to services through the program. The Bureau of Early Intervention oversees provision of therapeutic services to 30,000 children ages birth to 3 years each year. At the borough level, contracted service agencies are monitored by the Regional Office.
Duties will include but not be limited to: Assist with the oversight of the Regional Office practices and work to ensure that they are consistent with other EI Regional offices Supervise Regional Office staff, including office managers, Early Intervention Official Designees and advise the Director on all matters relating to the Regional Office performance Work with staff to ensure delivery of high-quality services to NYC’s children and families, including implementing NYC Policy and Procedures and promoting regulatory compliance Oversee staff work in the EI Hub, the NYS EI case management and billing system Work in a dynamic team environment to build commitment to the program’s goals and initiatives, by working closely with all levels of staff Assist with staff hiring, performance evaluations and staff development and assist with developing reports and presentations Assist with developing reports and presentations Develop and implement procedures, databases and indicators to maintain information and monitor office performance and efficiency Address parent and provider complaints and participate in due process proceedings as needed.

Qualification Requirements
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
