Assistant Insurance Fund Services Representative

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Assistant Insurance Fund Services Representative (AIFSR) within the disability benefits underwriting department is responsible for supporting the underwriters. The AIFSR would assist with processing payroll reports, address changes, cancellation requests as well as respond to customer inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications

For appointment via NY HELPS:

• Four years of customer service experience that required independence in both verbal and written communication responsibilities; OR
• An associate’s degree or higher and two years of customer service experience as described above.

For competitive appointment:

• One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren’t limited to: Administrative Assistant 1, Business Services Center Representative 1, Payroll Specialist 1, Program Aide, Taxpayer Services Rep 1, Payroll Examiner 1
