On June 16, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul signed the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust Act, which authorized the creation of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust (the Trust). The Trust is a public benefit corporation that will oversee the renovation and rehabilitation of the City’s public housing developments, owned by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).
will remain the permanent owner of the land/buildings and will enter a long-term ground lease with the Trust to secure Section 8 vouchers.
The selected Assistant Resident Buildings Superintendent will be a NYCHA employee assigned to Nostrand Houses and will work on behalf of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust. Operating a Trust property under Project-Based Section 8, the Assistant Superintendent will support work order responsiveness, preventive maintenance, HQS/NSPIRE readiness, and coordination with Property Management, trades, vendors, and the Design-Builder during construction and post-construction activities.
