Job description

The candidate selected will be responsible for cleaning an inpatient addiction treatment center.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • removing garbage
  • cleaning offices, hallways and common areas
  • sweeping and mopping floors
  • cleaning patient bedrooms once vacated
  • cleaning bathrooms including toilets, showers and sinks
  • buffing and waxing floors
  • Other job-related duties

Minimum Qualifications

Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor and able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.

Candidates with experience in commercial cleaning preferred.

*All Hourly positions with the NYS Office of Addiction Services & Supports (OASAS) are?utilized?on an “as needed” basis, and as such there is no guarantee of work hours or a set schedule. Any/all questions should be directed to?recruitment@oasas.ny.gov.
