Part-time and full time entry-level custodial positions on various shifts. A Cleaner performs a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort in cleaning and caring for an assigned area in buildings and adjacent grounds and sidewalks.
Employees may work many weekends and holidays and are subject to mandatory and voluntary overtime.
Shifts available:
*Full time, 11pm-7am (Weekend shifts may be necessary; pass days vary)
*Full time, 4am-12:30pm, Monday-Friday
*Full time, evenings, 5pm-1am, Monday-Friday
*Part-time, weekends, 1st shift: Saturday, Sunday & Monday
*Part-time, day shift, Monday
*Part-time, day shift, Monday
*Part-time, day shift, Monday
Upon hire, a 52-week probationary period must be served.
Some shifts may require a wait list for availability at the time of appointment. The wait list is based on seniority.
*Working knowledge of the properties of various cleaning substances.
*Ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions in English
*Ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time
*Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor
*Ability to use various cleaning equipment and products
*Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and shovel snow
*Ability to read, write and understand English
*Successful applicants must be good communicators, have a positive attitude, and be able to work productively as a team member
