Job description

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office is seeking a well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds reflect an ability to serve the 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Bronx County District Attorney’s Office currently has openings for Cleaning Staff who will be responsible for cleaning in District Attorney Buildings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleaning bathrooms, wiping down glass windows, mopping floors.

Sweeping and vacuuming floors when assigned.

Emptying garbage throughout cubicle areas and also hallways and various other areas.

Cleaning Kitchen/Conference Room areas.

Assist with other tasks in the Operations Unit as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS: High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to lift up 35 Lbs.

Highly motivated, self-starter Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate in a welcoming and professional manner.

Excellent customer service skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position. However, the ability to understand and carry out simple instructions is required.
  • Candidates must be able to understand and be understood in English.
