Division/Work Unit: Bronx Community Board No. 4 Bronx Community Board No. 4 is a New York City agency established to identify the needs of our community and advocate through city government to meet those requirements. In addition, we are empowered through the New York City Charter to make advisory decisions on land use, budgets, public policy and to monitor city services. The Board is composed of appointed members who represent different areas of our district, which includes Mt. Eden, Highbridge, East Concourse, West Concourse and Concourse Village Sections of the Bronx.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Community Associate, under supervision of the Community Coordinator, assists in resolving community issues, supports the Board Officers, Committee Chairs and Members, and is responsible for various administrative tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Qualification Requirements
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
