Proficiency with Smart View (the Excel-based interface), Financial Reporting Studio, and managing metadata hierarchies. Experience with data integration tools to pull information from various ERP systems is also critical.
o Advanced Querying: Mastery of complex JOIN logic, GROUP BY with aggregate functions, and HAVING clauses.
o Data Transformation: Proficiency in CASE statements, COALESCE for handling NULL values, and complex filtering logic.
o Structured Logic: Effective use of Common Table Expressions (CTEs) to write readable, modular, and maintainable queries.
o From Lifecycle: Knowing exactly when On-Open, On-Load, On-Activate, and On-Current fire is vital for initializing data or enforcing business rules.
o Control Events: Managing user interaction effectively (e.g., After Update, Change, Click) ensures your UI remains responsive and intuitive.
o Dynamic SQL: Build, validate, and execute SQL statements (SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, DELETE) within VBA with conditional filtering or temporary table manipulation.
o ASP.NET Core: Moving beyond basic MVC to understand the full capabilities of minimal APIs, Razor Pages, and the request pipeline.
o Data Access (Entity Framework Core): Efficiency in writing optimized queries, managing migrations, and understanding performance tuning for database interactions
