The Bureau of Water Supply seeks to hire a Construction Project Engineer within the Capital Programs Management (CPM), Core Services Directorate, to support the overall portfolio of projects designed via Infrastructure Planning, Design & Construction (IPD&C) managed on-call design contracts.
The Construction Project Engineer Intern is responsible for supporting IPD&C and the Chief of Construction Management in the planning and coordination of moderately complex capital projects from scope initiation through construction. Primarily, this position will be responsible for the tracking, monitoring, and execution of task orders issued under on-call construction management contracts.

Health and Safety Working Conditions: Some of the physical activities performed by Civil Engineering Interns are: walking to and from inspection sites and during the course of inspections; climbing and descending ladders or stairs to get to areas to be inspected; standing on scaffolds to inspect work; standing for an extended period of time; bending and stooping during inspections; working in confined areas; distinguishing colors; wearing a hard hat; climbing over and around various objects; walking in areas that may be damp, dark smoky or acrid; working outdoors in all kinds of weather; must be able to lift about 20 pounds of equipment when required.
Special Working Conditions: Civil Engineer Interns may be required to work shifts including nights, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
