As a Dietitian 2, you would be a member of an interdisciplinary team and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy which may include consulting with physicians on nutrition support requests; planning and supervising the preparation of special diets and menus; maintaining safe and sanitary conditions; and training or assisting individuals, families, and staff to plan specialized and therapeutic nutrition care plans. You may have oversight responsibility in the service of food; assist in the instruction of students or nutrition interns in Medical Nutrition Therapy and food preparation techniques, supervise dietetic interns and technicians; and/or supervise a small food preparation service unit.
This clinician will address the increasingly complex dietary needs of the individuals and provide critical services to maintain the health and safety of the individuals with specific needs such as poor glycemic management of their diabetes, and other complex conditions that require more intensive, onsite, and individualized services. We have an increasing demand for dietitians to translate and identify the accuracy and consistency around the terminology of the diets of those discharged from hospital or rehabilitative care.
