Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner, Human Resources Division the department is seeking a detail-orientated and experienced individual to oversee auditing of various human resources and payroll transactions.
The Executive Director will play a key role in conducting employee separation audits, processing time and leave transactions, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data across multiple human resources and payroll systems. In this role, the selected candidate will support the timely and accurate resolution of audit findings, system updates, and employee inquiries in accordance with applicable laws, rules, policies, and departmental standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Payments are processed using the Financial Management System (FMS).
Responding to questions from the unions.
Preparing Radio Bonus payments, annual leave payments, holiday payments and collective bargaining increases, as well as salary merit and promotions.
Additionally, processing any step or level maturations.
Working closely with the Overpayment unit. Responding to written and telephone inquiries, * Check Distribution: working closely with the Leaves unit and the Overpayment unit to ensure checks are released.
Pulling checks from old commands to new command. Ensure only authorized employees pick up checks for commands.
Annual distribution of W-2 to commands; Ensure Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime payments to ceased members.
