Licensed Master Social Worker, (NY HELPS), Rockland Children's Psychiatric Center, P28194

Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center (RCPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a Licensed Master Social Worker to serve as a Utilization Review Coordinator (URC). The work schedule is Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.

URCs at RCPC review electronic and paper clinical medical records for inpatient and outpatient care. Duties include:

• Reviewing clinical records for completeness and accuracy to ensure compliance.
• Reviewing medical records of new admissions, placement decisions, length of stays, and discharge plans against established criteria to determine if necessary and effective.
• Conducting quality assurance reviews.
• Assisting the medical records department with record reviews and surveys.
• Participating in special projects as assigned.

About RCPC:

RCPC is a psychiatric hospital exclusively for children and adolescents ages 11 – 18 from the Hudson Valley Region. Located in Orangeburg, NY, RCPC provides an intensive, family-based inpatient psychiatric treatment program with the goal of returning children to their families with minimal disruption. In addition to RCPC’s inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services, including school-based intensive day treatment programs, and clinics. RCPC focuses on providing services that are tailored to the individual needs of the child and their family.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

OR

Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

This position is eligible for a Downstate Adjustment of $4,150.

Posted Salary is for full time position.
