The Division of Budget, Capital Program Management seeks a detail-oriented planner to coordinate the development, review, execution, and implementation of memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and related agreements supporting DOT’s capital program and interagency initiatives. These projects and initiatives could include, but are not limited to, the MTA Fast Forward Plan for station accessibility through ADA upgrades (e.g., installation of elevators); the development of the Interborough Express (IBX) light rail line and associated stations throughout Brooklyn and Queens; and various efforts to address flooding of the subway system.
Under the direction of division leadership, the selected candidate will work closely with DOT’s planning, engineering, operations, budget, and legal teams, as well as partner agencies, to establish clear responsibilities for project delivery, funding, asset ownership, operations, and maintenance. The candidate will help move agreements from initial discussion through execution, identify and resolve outstanding issues, and track commitments necessary to advance projects.
This position will initially be part of BCPM helping craft the agreements and framework, but later transition to the Franchises team to work directly on MTA projects.
