ABOUT THE CCRB: The Civilian Complaint Review Board (“CCRB”) is charged with investigating, mediating and administratively prosecuting complaints that members of the public file against New York City police officers involving the use of force, abuse of authority, discourtesy, or offensive language, and false official statements. The Board consists of 15 members who are selected by the Mayor, the City Council and Public Advocate, and the NYPD Commissioner. The Board is responsible for governing the agency and adjudicating the cases that come before it. The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency. As the largest police oversight agency in the United States, the CCRB currently investigates approximately 4,500 complaints each year.
Working under the direction of the Deputy Chief of Special Operations and the Director of NYPD Relations and with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the NYPD Document Request Specialists’ duties include, but are not limited to the following:
This is a full-time position. Candidate will be expected to be available to work week days from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, although tour hours may be adjusted to meet Agency and Division needs.
AN INTERVIEW WILL BE CONTACTED In compliance with Federal Law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
