Parks and Recreation Aide 4-6 - Cutting Crew (SCSP)

Under the direction of the Park Supervisor or higher-level managers, the Park and Recreation Aide will be responsible for landscaping and mowing tasks in Shirley Chisholm State Park.

• Complete brush, shrub and small tree removals and mowing projects inside the drainage swale system throughout Shirley Chisholm State Park.
• Clean, inspect, maintain and operate powered mowing equipment, including string trimmers, hedge trimmers, brush cutters, push mowers, brush mowers and blowers.
• Track and report mowing progress throughout the drainage swale system.
• Assist in larger cutting projects throughout the park.
• Other duties may be as assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

NO MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS TITLE PER CIVIL SERVICE.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with landscaping and gas-powered tools.
• Bilingual, Spanish language proficiency.
