St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center Children and Youth (SLPC C&Y), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to work at the Massena Wellness Center.
As a Psychiatrist at SLPC C&Y, you will provide comprehensive, patient centered, and recovery focused treatments to children and youth with mental illness; including:
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program if they have a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and have certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
OR
Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
New York State agencies, departments, and public authorities provide services across healthcare, engineering, administration, public safety, the trades, and other areas.
