Creedmoor Psychiatric Center (CPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission-accredited facility, is recruiting a board-certified Psychiatrist to join their team and serve as the Associate Program Director of their Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited Psychiatric Residency Program affiliated with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. The goal of the Psychiatric Residency Program is to train and mentor participants in a range of therapeutic modalities that support patient-centered, recovery-focused, and culturally sensitive treatment of individuals with serious mental illness.

CPC, one of the largest and culturally diverse OMH facilities, provides a continuum of care to individuals from the borough of Queens who require intermediate and extended mental health treatment through inpatient and outpatient services.
CPC is a large, urban facility with 350 inpatient beds, 170 outpatient residential beds, an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, and a wide array of other outpatient programs.

Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program if they have:
Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
