The Electronics Section is seeking candidates for the position of Radio Repair Mechanic who will be responsible for the following: - provide, maintain, and enhance all forms of police radio communication from portable hand devices to Vehicle-Integrated radio systems - installation, repair, and maintenance of portable and mobile radios - installation, repair, and maintenance of various critical low voltage systems across NYPD facilities - ensure the functionality and readiness of mobile command centers, equipping them with state of the art communication technology ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Work location specified is for primary vacancy in Queens. To be eligible for an interview, the candidate must have either passed the current civil service examination, or registered for the upcoming examination, which is scheduled to be administered later this year.
