Job description

The Healthy Homes Department operationalizes environmental hazard compliance efforts at NYCHA. The Office of Mold Assessment and Remediation is responsible for managing performance management, performing quality assurance, and providing technical assistance to support Public Housing Operations for mold remediation at NYCHA The responsibilities of the Community Associate will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Use communications tools such as phone, Maximo Asset Management system to coordinate completion of mold and leak work order ticket.
  • Communicate effectively with NYCHA residents and NYCHA’s Operations team to coordinate scheduling and facilitate repairs.
  • Log efforts and communications into Zendesk case tracking platform, while answering OCC’s inquiries.
  • Log efforts and communications into Zendesk case tracking platform for Healthy Start initiative.
  • Evaluate and adjust programs for quality and effectiveness to meet the resident and Authority needs.
  • Conduct site visits as required.
  • Perform other clerical support duties as assigned, including general recordkeeping.
  • Perform other related duties.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with any of the following: Microsoft Offices, Zendesk
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of property management operations, processes, and structure.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume and high-pressure environment.
  • Speaks Spanish or Chinese
