The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Senior Project Administrator to join the Program Management Unit’s Engineering and Support Services – Bluebelt and Wetland Management.
The successful candidate will monitor the planning, design, construction, and guarantee period of assigned projects through coordination with the Office of Environmental and Hazmat Services (OEHS), the Environmental Consultants, and the sponsor agencies as well as the various City, State, and Federal Agencies. Other key responsibilities include overseeing and tracking various projects which involve Bluebelt, Best Management Practice (BMP), and wetland mitigation work; collaborating with the project’s Restoration Specialist wetland maintenance including erosion stabilization, invasive plant species management, areas of planting failure, etc.; monitoring the progress as the mitigations are being constructed ensuring compliance with construction drawings including grading and planting schedule; attending substantial completion meetings; performing routine site inspections throughout the guarantee period; and preparing progress reports.
In addition, the selected Senior Project Manager will ensure that contractors produce monitoring reports once the mitigation has been completed; prepare reports for the subsequent growing seasons as indicated in the permit; and ensure all conditions as stipulated on the permits are being implemented by both the contractor and supervising consultant during the construction phase.
