Job summary

Under the direction of a Manager Information Technology Services 1, within the Infrastructure/Prod Support group for the Department of State Dedicated Team. This position will be responsible for participating in conducting business analysis and quality assurance activities related to the ongoing support of the applications supported by Department of State’s applications. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize application issues in assigned areas through collaboration with internal and external customers, facilitating meetings with Subject Matter Experts, BAQA staff, development team, and users as needed to gather knowledge and document requirements following current BAQA standards.
  • Coordinate meetings with BAQA and development staff to review requirements to ensure understanding of the project in support of work goals.
  • Create requirement documents that clearly convey the system/business flows and provide all requirements including audit needs based on audit standards and reporting needs as required.
  • Develop a schedule for reviewing final requirements with business users and obtain signoff.
  • Facilitate the creation of performance test plans following the standard documentation and user acceptance testing.
  • Work with BAQA staff, architecture and performance team on creating and executing performance test scripts.

Minimum Qualifications

Technology Analyst 1 (All Parenthetics)

Five years* of information technology experience, one of which must be within the

appropriate specialty**.

Six years* of information technology experience, one of which must be within the

appropriate specialty**.

*Substitutions: associate’s degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or

a related field substitutes for one year of general information technology experience.

Candidates in a bachelor’s degree program with at least 15 semester credit hours in

computer science or a related field can be credited with one year of general information

technology experience.

Bachelor’s degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in

computer science or a related field substitutes for three years of general information

technology experience. Any bachelor’s degree substitutes for two years of general

information technology experience.

Master’s degree or higher in computer science or related field substitutes for one

additional year of general information technology experience.

**Specialty includes experience within one or more of the following information

technology disciplines: artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, human centered design,

product management, quality assurance, rapid application development, robotic product

management, geospatial information services.
