The New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) Office of Education Policy is seeking candidates for a Trades Generalist position in the New York State School for the Blind (NYSSB). Duties of this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Reassignment: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Trade’s Generalist.
Non-Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.
Candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license.
