CALLING ALL PLUMBERS! We are seeking two skilled tradesperson to join our Department as a Trades Generalist in the Plumbing Unit located at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse NY. The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is hiring for two permanent Trades Generalist, SG-12 to work in the Plumbing Unit at the New York State Fairgrounds. As a Trades Generalist, you may perform journey-level work in one trade, and skilled and semiskilled level work in a combination of other trades to assist in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment in support of State Fair operations. This will include but will not be limited to the installation, alteration, and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, ventilating, heating control, water, and drainage systems according to specification and plumbing codes at the New York State Fairgrounds.

The Fairgrounds are located at 581 State Fair Boulevard in Syracuse, New York, offering a comfortable work environment, complete with free parking.

This is a permanent, non-competitive, CSEA-represented position offering full-time hours, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Minimum Qualifications

When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
