Job description

All Hourly positions with the NYS Office of Addiction Services & Supports (OASAS) are utilized on an “as needed” basis, and as such there is no guarantee of work hours or a set schedule. Any/all questions should be directed to recruitment@oasas.ny.gov

The Office Assistant 1 will provide clerical support to the Addiction Treatment Centers (ATCs).

Duties include but are not limited to: filing, setting up and maintaining filing systems; answering and directing telephone calls; receiving, opening, reviewing and distributing all incoming mail; preparing correspondence and other documents; drafting responses and prepare routine letters and memoranda; maintaining calendars; copying, scanning and faxing documents; maintaining equipment; and other job-related duties as required.

Use of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.

Preferred qualifications: Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
